he's been a starter in the NFL for about 15 minutes and the Panthers suck...

I have no idea if Clausen is going to be a good QB in the NFL or not...

But I do know it's too early to call...

I mean, the reason he is starting is because the team sucks to begin with------

I have no idea if Clausen will be a good NFL QB or not----but some of the greatest QBs in the last 20 years sucked donkey balls their first season as a starter-----Peyton Manning, Troy Aikman, Favre was a freakin nightmare his first season----

Clausen is no Peyton Manning---but you can't write him off because of a game and a half of action. Jeez.

Gentlemen,

I'm mostly writing him off based on his past and his character. The guy was overrated in college, overrated in the NFL draft and is a spoiled prick.

They should bring in a new QB. I suggest former Heisman winner, Troy Smith.

Even some black ones, right JJ? I don't judge any qb playing for a bad team until after a few years. But I knew JaMarcus Russell was going to be a bust very soon, and Clausen is no JRussell.

Yes, Clausen's track record would indicate he may be to full of himself to garner his teammates trust and respect (Ryan Leaf anyone?), but if he learns from his mistakes and learns humility, the guy has an arm that can take him to a successful career in the NFL. I wish the bastard luck.

i agree, but the marketing team his rich daddy hired put him on ESPN everyday before the draft. I mean ESPN was with him working out, Jon Gruden was sucking his co(k about his Charlie Wiess pro style offense. I understand trying to get your 40 time down or arm strength up, but that was insane. This kid is a short wannabe Drew Brees. I don't recall seeing Sam Bradford workout updates.

Sam broke his leg his senior year and busted his azz to recover. Bradford seems like such a great kid. He returned for his senior season and got hurt in their first game vs BYU and was still the number 1 pick and got paid. Good for him. Clauson is a spoiled brat.
