Looking over the game the line seems strange with the, seemingly, much better team only giving 1.5. kinda like Marquette yesterday. wisc has only lost 3 games vs a decently tough schedule while Minn has dropped 6 vs very soft opposition. the public is all over wisc -2, but pinny is showing -1.5 right now. how interesting, what do they know that we do not? everything, everything is the right answer to that question.
Minnesota has played a couple highly ranked teams tough at home recently, but they've come up short. The Gophers are still looking for the big home win and this could be the spot for it. Tubby not only wants to get that monkey off his back, but he'll be looking to impress recruits this weekend; the top two players from Minnesota, in the 08 class, have aleady signed with Wisconsin.
Wisconsin is the better team and certainly the more impressive team inside. Brian Butch, formerly the #2 HS center in the nation, will be tough to stop on the inside man to man. Then again, last time out, Indiana tried some zone against the Wisc big men and they gotten eaten up.
At the end of the day, Minnesota's fans should be fired up and help spark this team to a win. The Gophers force 3 more steals per game than Wisconsin and if they can get a few easy buckets off turnovers, they'll take this one in front of the home crowd.
