Please help.. Pinnacle issues

I must be missing something. WHy do you feel pinn should cancel either of your wagers.

If the match began early, and this ins't live wagering, then likley the wagers will be cancelled. You should just email them and ask them to check the time the match began versus when you entered the wager.

marc that is what i did .. they said they do not cancel wagers. I told them repeatedly this match was in progress when i had placed the wager. The line was up for about 20 - 25 mins after the match starting.. They even paid me out for the original bet but took the money for the offset.. i jus want them to cancel both which they should.

The information on our site regarding past post wagers is as follows: Pinnacle Sports reserves the right to cancel any wager made on an obviously "bad" line or a wager made after an event has started.

Please note the key word is "reserves" the right to cancel wagers.

This probably won't be a popular opinion, but the way I see it, you tried to take advantage of what you knew to be a bad line (in that it was still availible at the time) and bail yourself out. The book noticed, and you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

Right Winston, but the way I read it, he bet the “wrong” side of a bad line (the side that was down 4-0). Granted he shortly thereafter bet the “right” side of the still available bad line, but only to get most of his money back, not to profit. He basically threw away juice to undo his bet, if I’m interpreting the situation correctly. Now if he succeeds in getting Pinnacle to cancel both wagers, he’ll get back to even.

So either a small loss or a push. If that’s “taking a shot,” he’s quite a bungler when it comes to scamming (assuming always that there’s not “more to the story” than has been presented so far).

I'm thinking that, contrary to his post, he made the first bet prior to the start of the match and the second one betting a bad line.

Consider yourself lucky, and be happy you did this at pinnacle and not elsewhere.

Because NO book would cancel both of your bets.
Either they would cancel the "bad" bet, or if you play at a shit book they would call you a fraud and do whatever they want with your funds...

Well, betting a bad line or past posting is always a lose-lose prop for the player. Book will cancel if the bet is a winner, and keep it on if it loses. All within their rules.

Evidently he’s claiming BOTH were past post. He accidentally made a past post wager on a player that turned out to already be way behind because the event started well before its scheduled start time, and then upon discovering that he intentionally made a past post wager on the other side to undo it and forfeit juice. So he made two past post bets and split them.

Now he just wants the lost juice returned on the grounds that his first bet was placed due to Pinnacle erroneously leaving the lines up too long and not due to his taking a shot, since no one would bet the player down 4-0 if they dishonestly were past posting on purpose.

That's why I think the first bet was made prior to the start of the match.
