Agreed, I'm not going to hell either.

My point is, I don't see why everyone gets off on his life falling apart. Not saying he didn't bring this all on himself.

rudy nobody has had even so much as an argument at the bash, don't avoid something out of fear
online is much different than in person

people have short memories and we're all big boys

20 years of going to casinos/track/etc and only twice have i had a significant argument/fight with someone (both at poker)

It is indeed getting to be a scary place. I'm sensing a growing generational chism here which could get ugly, especially by the time of the next bash. Since I'm relatively new here and was in bad health for several years, I never considered going to a bash before.

But I'm feeling better now and I get around pretty well with my custom made and deadly "attack" cane. People everywhere are amazed when they see it. I have been practicing daily with the cane and feel that soon it will be an extremely lethal weapon in my hands. I'm over 6 foot tall, go about 270 and I'm from the southside of Chicago. Old school sir. It used to be said I looked menacing like Al Hrabosky in his prime. Now I may look more like a 63 year old fat Geico caveman.

Still I am a menacing presence. But I am also a mercenary at heart. If indeed there should be a threat of any violent confrontations at next year's bash I will be willing to "work for points" as your personal bodyguard.

You could then attend the bash, relax and enjoy all festivities knowing I've got your back.

Plenty of time to negotiate the fee amount.....but it would have to be double digit points at the very least.
