Deuce, I last laced up my skates about 20 years ago but I remember the Titan and the Koho goalie sticks were the most expensive. I am thinking they were about $50. Is there really such thing as a $400 stick? I can't believe they're over $100. But I do remember while in the twilight of my mediocre career, that the skaters were just starting to use the replacement blades on their sticks. Maybe they're made of titanium or some such thing.

cherish these past 2 weeks cause it's not always like this. gambling is streaky. i've gone 8 months straight of having maybe 22 total losing days.. i was on top of the world. just like you now...i loved life. i looked so forward to each night when games began cause i knew i'd win money, and i always did.

but...

then it turns and then i went 7 straight months of not winning at all. even though i had great #'s.. i couldn't understand why...it's a sick business. just be strong, don't chase..and you will win at the end. Just keep playing weak #'s..

Actually if they make a stick out of granite it will be very brittle and break apart easily. Off course a granite stick will probably weigh close to 20 lbs which will severely slow down the hockey player to the point of making him useless (not that JJ isn't useless to begin with).

Nicky is in the best shape he's ever been in the last 15 yrs.. he's down to a whopping 209 lbs now and only 16% body fat. And Nicky is 5'10, not 5'1...Nicky trained hard this summer and is now lean.. lean lean... the nicky machine..

watch the vid of me schooling JJ and you'll see how great a player i am.. yes, i am the best hockey player to ever post at sbr. if i was 3 inches taller and a tad better on skates, i would have been in the NHL, no joke.. i was told this by at least 3 scouts back in the mid 80's..

Back when I started they were all wood. Then aluminum with a replacement blade, the graphite witha replacement blade, now all composite and graphite. Much more whip behind the shot today, puck gets up a lot more.

Yes, those sticks the pros snap every game are 350-400 a pop. Goalie sticks about 5-600.
