I think that Brock needs to step back for a minute and realize what's important to him and his future. Not his family but gambling and SBR. He knows deep down he enjoys being on SBR and placing bets than being at little league games and doing the family thing. I want Brock to make a connection with a few Sharks in the Chicago area and I hope that he can borrow as much money as he can. I hope he deposits at a few books and gets back in the game at once. Gummo it's all true. I wouldn't have posted it without Brock's permission. He told me today to tell the story, so people don't believe the made up crap that 80% of this thread is full of. I have some texts from him from last week:

-I could be in a bad spot
-I am looking at needing 3500 BUX quickly
-I borrowed from some people, have some loans out. Also wrote a bad check to boot. I've been doing ok, but everything came to a head all at once, the next 2 weeks may be the difference for me
-Yeah, I am in deep shit
-I owe some people I work with, I'm working on an extension, but the next 2 weeks I have to come through or my goose is cooked, may be charged for bad checks, etc.
-No bullshit, I'm scared.
-I've fukked up good this time
-I've put people in a bad spot, the checks have overdrawn my checking account, I'm going to need a small miracle. I lost 3 dimes yesterday. I was trying to go from 5000 to 7500. Then withdraw this morning, now I have one check for 1650 which I am waiting on the bank to call and tell me to pay or police are getting called.
-If I could get that 1650 I'd have working space
-You couldn't float me the 1650 could you, I mean I could pay you back at the game, that could be a difference maker
-I'm sorry to even ask, as you can see I'm pretty damn desperate
-I have to play what I think can win, regardless of the sport, 2 weeks and the clock is ticking
-Will let you know after I get back from Washington, if I am still married and alive and stuff
-It's over for me man, I'm sorry you got those tickets, I won't be here.

This has been an interesting read. I don't really believe its as bad as some are saying here, however Brock has been absent from the forum for awhile. What happened here is Brock got lured into trying to be a forum hero and tried to make people believe he really was a sharp. He believed in himself so much he wound up going broke. No one on here can't say this hasn't happened to them or this couldn't happen to them. At the end of the day we all share the same disease and love the grind and risk that gambling brings us.

I am not trying to be a know it all but keep people out of trouble. To prove worthless checks the State will subpoena bank records. The records will show you had practically nothing in your account at the time the check was written. It is much easier to prove when there are several checks and a pattern of writing checks with a depleted account. The good news is prosecutors are more inerested in getting the money. If you can somehow get the money many times the prosecutor will drop the case.

yes it's sad but gambling has led to much bigger problems than just being broke and unable to gamble any more.

not sure why someone would admit to knowing there was no money to cover a check, that's pretty much the only way they can convict you of fraud. otherwise how can anyone PROVE that you knew the check would be bad, they can't.
