cannot see michigan winning any game by more than 4-6 points their defense is beyond awful. Eventually better equipped defenses/linebackers will exploit their one-dimensional offense as well. This will 100% be one leg +(18) of my 4 team 13pt teaser.

Michigan fan here too. Was going to post this same thread when I saw the line but didn't want to jinx it. Hopefully homefield will help the defense somehow and the books know what their doing. Go Blue.

I like Michigan for the same reason I liked MSU over Wisconsin: when you employ an offense that involves running up the middle a lot, it doesn't matter how bad your opponent's defense is. Even a bad defense can stop an offense that's easy to stop.

Greg Jones is a good middle linebacker, but he's a second round talent going up against first round speed in Denard Robinson. Couple that with home field and a QB in Kirk Cousins who seemingly WANTS to throw INTs and I'd say Michigan 35 MSU 30.

When a bad defense forces turnovers, its called "opportunistic."

As always, the over is a strong pick in games involving Michigan's defense. You can never trust a former Big East coach when it comes to defense, its just not something they've ever had to consider. I'll tell you this though, the next time a team drives for the game tying touchdown late vs. Michigan, they won't settle for an extra point. They'll go for 2. I mean, why wouldn't you?

Hard to say -- depends on if MSU can get Michigan down early and force Robinson into throwing more and running less.

MSU also needs to control the clock as much as possible, and they have the backs to do so.

MSU has the better D and better special teams.

i locked in MSU +4.5 earlier this morning...michigan is a total fluke and will be shown for what they really are this weekend when they play a team that actually has BOTH a D and an O....i think msu rolls by double digits and they will blow out mr. robinson's ankle, cause that bullshit running trash ain't gonna be the same now that REAL big ten football starts....(and yes indiana is not considered big 10 football)

This is what the deciding factors will be.

Cousins ball control. He is horrid at times, yeah UMichs secondary is dismal but they can pick the ball.

Denard, if he runs the ball well, score basically every drive, game over.

MSU's secondary is also weak, if they shut down Denard, we'll see Tate.

Mich did a decent job shutting down Armando Allen. Held to 89 yds on 15 carries. With MSU's backs, this is crucial.
