Do they make a copy of your ID when you send a **?
I use ** to send money and everytime i send over $900, the person there require my id and makes a copy of it every single time. Below $900 does not require anything and i have the ** rewards card.

But to those people that need to show ID for transactions over a certain amount with ** or **, do they make a copy of your ID everytime? I saw the person has a lot of copies along with mine where they made copies of your id so i am pretty sure i'm not the only one sending over $900 at that particular ** location. I ask this because i see many people say they need ID but never heard about them making a copy of it.

yea jrod i know everyone says they require id. But my assumption is that they just need to look at your id to make sure everything matched but i never heard anyone say they need your id and make a copy of it. I have my id copied every single time and wanted to know if they do that with everyone.

In multiple states and at least 5 different locations I've never had anyone copy my ID. It might be a requirement in your state, or a company policy. I have no idea, but I wouldn't really like someone copying my DL. I would ask about it and talk to a manager if necessary.

yes they use their copy machine to make a copy everytime of my id everytime i sent at least 900. Last time i went their copy machine didn't work and i had to go to a store nearby to make a copy of my id to give them in order to make the transaction.

i never have to show anything any more and they never copied my id
typed it into the computer though and after the 3rd time or so at the same location they just bring up your name/address/etc

saves my time filling out that part of the form

they don't make a copy at all... this little convenient store where I go to send **, I got really cool with the owner so whenever he's busy with customers, he just let me hop in and type all the information myself. When you send over certain amount, ** agent's computer system ask them for ID number which they have to put it into their system in order for transaction to go through....
