I thought I would mention that the CHECK was cashed at a bank and not a cash checking.........so theres no excuss since other checks have passed before

THE CHECKS must be deposited at the bank, and you need to wait like 2 weeks for it to clear!!!!!

ive heard of these stories. if its a reputable place they always take care of it immediately. i dont know much about poker stars. borrow from anyone or explain to them what happened. it's not like YOU wrote a bad check, a check was returned that was made out to you...that's a little different and doesnt look nearly as bad.

Hi Jeremy,

While an inconvenience, processing mishaps do occur. You're not entitled to be paid "more" than what you're owed. The industry standard is for the sportsbook/poker room to reimburse you any fee imposed by the bank. They'll send you a replacement check as soon as you scan/fax the copy of the returned check.

As for your personal situation, it sounds like you should explain the situation to your friend & inform him what Poker Stars is requesting. I'm not sure what getting the "cops involved" would do, from what you've shared you haven't broken any laws and if the check was bad, it wasn't you who wrote it anyway.

pokerstars will certainly reimburse you any fees incurred as a result of the check being bad if your story is true

There is a VERY GOOD CHANCE that we have not heard all there is to hear about this story.

Get a ******* bank account! Either that or just stop gambling

And ifffffffffffffffffffffff this story is true, yes YOU can be prosecuted. You passed a bad check and it is called THEFT BY CHECK! What is funny is how this guy changed his story slightly since yesterday.

Yesterday, he didnt put an amount of the check. Well today he puts an amount which is below $500 that was told to him yesterday as being a felony in most states.

And you cant Cash the CHECK at a bank either, it must be deposited into the account, and you have to wait from 2 to 3 weeks for it to be cashed.

I think that this kid is hoping that we will "PASS THE HAT" around and send him some money. Ask your parents first kid. That is what you have parents for! When you **** up, go to them for help
