i played at pinnacle blackjack last night. 1 dollars flat bets for 100 hands just to test how much i would win or lose with the standard strategy (those hit/stand/double cards you can buy in casino gift shop). after 100 hands of standard strategy, i am down to 76 dollars...this is way worse than what i expect. the house edge in blackjack should be around 5%, so i would expect after 100 hands, my balance should be around 95 dollars. but this is single test, i might hit a bad luck streak.
what is scary is that when i look at my win lose records, it is hella streaky. i win 5 hands in a row, i lose 5 hands in a row. the longest losing streak out of the 100 hands is 11!!! holy shit, that is hella unlucky to go on a 11 hands losing streak out of 100 hands (i also hit a 9 hand losing streak during the test also). now i am wondering if the standard blackjack strategy works for online blakjacks. i am 95% confident that pinnacle blackjack is not rigged...but i could be wrong.
that is why live online blackjack is much more appealing than regular online casinos. i think i am way too paranoid...but i think you can all understand if you hit a 11 hands losing streak out of 100 hands.Comment -

#5Pico,
The house edge on the Pinny casino is less than 0.25% after rebate. But the VOLATILITY will be high. On 100 hands, the standard deviation is +/- 5 hands. Each hand, you'll put about 1.2 units at risk (due to splits and doubles). If you played perfect basic strategy and lost 24 units in 100 hands, that is a -4 Sigma event. Call it 1/1600 chance of it occurring.
I'd suggest you study your basic strategy closer - this is more likely the cause of your results.Comment -

#8This is Blackjack 101. If you play with those "standard strategy" cards you buy in Vegas instead of tweaking your play to match the best play depending on the software/game type, you have at least a fighting chance of breaking even on a 0.25% game. If you don't, just flush the money down the toilet to save the time of actually playing.Originally posted by picomancould it be that blackjack strategy for online games are different? i am not sure if pinnacle use single deck or multideck shoeOriginally posted by pags11SBR would never get rid of me...ever...Originally posted by BuddyBearI'd probably most likely chose Pags to jack off too.Originally posted by curioustaco is not a troll, he is a bubonic plague bacteria.Comment -
