    Markets on SBR
    Not a bad day today.

GOOG just dropped almost 50 pts in after hours... May have to pick some up if it gets to 500.

You mean the 'experts' that get paid just to have an opinion; any opinion?

Sports touts are saints compared to all the 'experts' analyzing the stock market. Best advice? Don't listen to a word they say. Develop your own feeling for a company and stock, and stick with it.

Got that right, half the time they tout a stock just so they can get out after it has been hyped. Oh I know they have to disclose what they own. This doesn't mean that they don't help their friends out from time to time for the return favor in the future. I watch the chart because they can't fake that.

I was watching Wall Street Warriors and one of the clowns they follow was filmed touting SanDisk in November 2007 like there was no way on Earth it could possibly lose. Seriously, he was saying things like how his entire career was pegged to this stock. It is one of the funniest things I've seen on television in a long time. He was cold-calling CEOs giving them the standard broker sell like he was bigtime, listing off fundamentals like he was an insider.

At the time the show was recorded, the stock was selling around 45. It has not been above that number at any point since and right now it stands at 25. Anyone who thinks that fundamental data is most important in selecting stocks should consider that episode as a tutorial.
