Padres sweep Giants. Braves split the last 2 vs Phillies. That means you get 3 teams with the same record 2 of them in the same division. Who wins the division and who gets the wildcard?

Pads/Giants would play Monday and the loser would play ATL Tuesday

      ^^^^^ 100% correct.

Pads and Giants would play Monday to determine the winner of the NL West. Then the wild card would be played.

I know you meant to say winner.

Only problem with this scenario is the Giants aren't going to get swept.

        Braves vs. Giants
        Reds vs. Phillies

Edit: I'm including a possible 4th game as a part of the series.

No...the winner would win the NL West...the loser would have one more chance to get the WC

Gotcha. Forgot there would still be that tie if the situation arose.

Yeah don't see the Braves losing Saturday with Tommy Hanson on the bump versus a young arm from the Phillies farm system.

Actually, whoever had the better division record in the NL West would win the division. The other team would play Atlanta.

I think the Braves will be fired up today. There is going to be a packed house and there is a big ceremony before the game starts to honor Bobby Cox. They will play with an extra spark for the win. And Hanson has been on fire lately.

the only way the braves lose is if the phils second string blows em up like they did in washington.
