#2Michael Beasley is a monster player already. 25 tonight. That team should only get better as the season goes. IMO, they are the real deal but bordering on cocky.Comment -

#6Why the "wow"? Kansas was only favored by 7 or 7.5. Kansas State is now 15-4, and they are led by a bunch of freshmen that just keep getting better and better. The Wildcats could be scary good in March.Comment -

#9K St reminds me of last year's Texas team (or this year's USC team, for that matter). When they're on they're very tough to beat, but it's tough to imagine them stringing 6 games in a row together where they're on.Comment -

#15Not really. WVU can lose on any given night against any given opponent because they are hopelessly reliant on 3s.Originally posted by DrunkenLullabyWest Va loss about 5 times as surprising as KU losing.Comment -

#17The Wildcats played with a lot more intensity and shot the ball better. Not really that complicated. I think Jay Mariotti picked Kansas State to pull off the upset yesterday on ATH. What was the moneyline on the Wildcats?Comment -

depends on where he is playing. hes not exactly a stick figure. 2 years in a row the best player in the nation comes out of the state of maryland. only a couple years before that it was anthony. md talent is 2nd to none.

#19Yes, we play real ball here in the DC area, not the stupid And1 crap that has ruined the game in larger urban areas.Originally posted by mofomedepends on where he is playing. hes not exactly a stick figure. 2 years in a row the best player in the nation comes out of the state of maryland. only a couple years before that it was anthony. md talent is 2nd to none.

#23You guys have to spend all your time clearing off the snow, and even if there isn't some form of frozen precipitation then the wind affects every shot so much that Chicago talent makes for better kite fliers than basketball players.Originally posted by 5 star bombCome to the Chi and I'll show you how to really hoop. #24Stand by my statement. Without doing the research I would guess at least five 7 pt faves go down for every 14 pt fave that does in college hoops.Originally posted by isetcapNot really. WVU can lose on any given night against any given opponent because they are hopelessly reliant on 3s.Comment -

#25Chicago isnt called the "Windy City" because of the wind. If I got myself and 4 of my boyz vs you and 4 DC boys the line would be Chicago boyz -14 with the game being played to 15Originally posted by isetcapYou guys have to spend all your time clearing off the snow, and even if there isn't some form of frozen precipitation then the wind affects every shot so much that Chicago talent makes for better kite fliers than basketball players.Comment -

#26I don't dispute that at all, but WVU will occasionally defeat themselves irrespective of their opponent as a result of their style of play. This style of play generates high-deviation results which should not be seen as surprising.Originally posted by DrunkenLullabyStand by my statement. #29Kansas still very good team, they just lost a tough in state rival game to a KSU team that has an amazing talent in Bease and motivation for saying "hey lets knock off this undefeated team and show them Kansas State."
I think Kansas still going deep in March if everything lines up, just a matter of where everything stands when that begins as injuries, streaks, health factors etc all come into place. And alot of luckComment -

#30i live in lawrence and follow the hawks closely. in both the mizzou and k-state games (both away obviously) i've noticed bill self pulling back the usual aggressive defense and transition offense off of turnovers. in the journal-world today he was quoted as saying that the pace was too fast and he thought it rattled his team. i'm not sure self understands that the reason they dominate at home is because of the two things i just mentioned. especially facing a team with beasley and walker, who can just dominate in a half-court game, i thought it was a huge mistake for the hawks not to play the strategy their used to playing. self has even made it a point this season to have opposing teams react to ku's style, but i'm afraid this hasn't stuck to his repetoire while on the road at hostile environments. lastly, walker and pollem (or whatever his name is) played the games of their lives last night while darrell arthur and russell robinson played like absolute shit. any thoughts?Comment -
