Well, it's actually his pm box, and he's letting you use it. So, when you signed up for the site, you agreed to their T&S. They can send you a PM every 5 minutes, and there's nothing you can do about it, because 1) you agreed to it, and 2) it's their site (they can do whatever they want).

Conclusion: if you don't like it, leave

You can opt out now. Go under Settings - Edit Options - Enable Private Messaging & uncheck it

The PM list is generated automatically. We do title the messages appropriately so it can be easy for you to flag which to move to the trash box if you're not interested in the free cash contest.

SBRforum doesn't hit your emails with updates, we use ours. Most posters want messages and updates from a website they use...at that website. If you want to take part in SBR activities, getting the updates are part of it.

Personally enjoy all the free contest. The reminders help out. Mathy is new to computers, he hasn't figured out how to use a spam filter.

That will work if you don't want PM's from regular posters but SBR admins and mods can still slip them through.
