$20 cover charge but they give back as voucher
      -125 to -130 juice
The one at the dog track is ok just don't get lost leaving at night
The one down the back ally in town is worth the trip but DON'T GO WITH OUT 5 OR 6 FRIENDS TO COVER EACH OTHERS BACK

Caliente in TJ is good but they have to much juice there to win big.

          Sketchy, at best.
Are you mexican? Not that I care, one way or another, but that matters.

and thats if , and only if, the sun is up.

          My cents.

            Fisher, im not mexican.

I was planning on probably just placing my bets friday and driving back sunday if they're winners. I don't wanna hang out in that shit hole, I just wanna gamble and collect my winnings quick rather than dealing with payouts at my offshore books.

I figured you were'nt after you said you surf down there.
Hanging out there isnt the prob.
              Collecting your "winnings" can be.
I personally had Very skecthy times there -i.e. using my"winnings" as payoffs to get home.
I know first hand stories that were much more serious.
Not worth it to me. But as they say, you only live once.

              Vaya con dios,amigo.

It cant be anymore ghetto than Hollywood park casino can it? I swear I thought I was going to get shot in the parking lot the last time I was up there.

We'll see. I know im not gonna get in any trouble down there. I was just wondering how the place was. cleanliness, service, lines, tvs, etc.

do you go down there often gelatinous?

I used to go there everyday. Place my bets and get me 3 tacos for a buck. I think they have a 200-300 limit per game and lots of juice. Pretty crappy place with bunk ass tvs. That was 7 years ago though.

Not a San Diegoian? but used to live on the corner of College & Montezuma across from SD State.

I go 4 times a week. Take a cab to the Pueblo Amigo Hotel. The book there is pretty nice. Or go to the main casino at the Hipprodomo- it is 3-5 miles from the border. Make sure you take a cab there. I drive, but I have a house there and know the streets. Those 2 books are actually pretty nice.

On Sat and Sunday mornings the buffet at the Pueblo Amigo is pretty good. On Sunday, its $15, and you can drink as many beers as you like.

THere are some really shitty books down there- so stick to Pueblo Amigo or Hippodromo. These are totally safe- there are cops with machine guns out front. Those cops won't rob you because the casino doesn't want it's customers to lose money to anyone but them.

Don't buy all of the hype- it's not as scary as the US media makes it out to be.

P.M. me and I can show you around.

I live in North County, only been to TJ a few times, never did visit Caliente though. Been thinking about going down and checking it out some time. I've never had a problem in TJ, everybody there was nothing but friendly to me every time I go, even the guy that promised to take me to see a donkey show was a cool dude, never did get to see the donkey show though. But he tried to sell me some white powder in a baggy, I politely said no and was on my way.

There are a lot of hookers in Tijuana too, it's legal there.

I'd park in San Ysidro and walk across the border, don't drive. You can play at the Caliente right when you walk across the border or play at the one on Revolution. I wouldn't bet big there; I'd keep your winnings under $1,000.

Pretty sure you can bet on their online sportsbook and collect winnings in person in Tijuana:

And I am not seeing these crazy -125 to -130 lines. I am seeing -110.
