The reason I'm asking is that I interested in purchasing one for my Son for Christmas.

It's not the price. Where are you going with that big thing that you can't use a laptop or a notebook? You can't put it on your belt clip like an iphone or in your jacket pocket so you have to carry a purse like a lady everywhere you want to go with it.

Def don't get it for e-reading. It can really work over your eyes compared to the kindle (which is a physical particle display).

Yeah I agree, Apple has such a 'hip' rep that they could sell anything they put out. Like all their products, they are overpriced, overrated, and not much different than shit 1/2 the price already on the market.

I believe right now Apple is one of the most over valued stocks out there. In time, the consumer will adjust and will no longer pay for these products. They'll lose their "hip" mojo too. Sony once had it, it's gone. Dell once had it, it's gone. And if what they are putting out there really is that great, the market will catch on and catch up.

Apple sucks, sell the stock short.
