Oklahoma Bet your house SERIOUSLY -3 1/2
I can give you a ton of reasons to bet Oklahoma but the only one that you need is that they are the superior team in this match up, not for the season just this weekend, lay the minus 3 1/2 and make this your own stimulus package. No luck needed.

    Feedback anyone!!!

    I like Texas.

OU has been outgained or equaled in yards by:

    Utah State
    Air Force
    Cincinnati

Only reason they are 4-0 is they are +8 in the turnover category.

Texas has outgained every opponent, including UCLA. The only reason they lost to UCLA was because of turnovers.

As long as Texas works hard all week on holding on to the ball (and i think they will MB is a good coach), they will win this game.

Oklahoma beat an anemic Cincy team by 2 that got blown out by NC State. This line is brutal. Do you know what your talking about CSM?

Choklahoma is like usual... overrated. I'm not sure how they can be ranked in the top 10 with their pathetic play. They are very one dimensional on offense with everything coming from the edge. Very little is thrown down field. Texas should be able to defend this offense especially if Cincy did.

I think both teams are very down this year and can't really be sure which team is the better at this point. Small lean to Texas but not enough to put my money up.

YES, Ultimately we need to wait until Saturday, but I feel in this match up, Oklahoma will pass rush the Texas O line into submission and yes I can see a +2 or better in the turnover department, Defense will win this game for Oklahoma, I am not an OU or Texas fan just looking at this favorably for Texas, we can sit here all day saying they played close to Utah State and they looked like this and that against Cincy, both teams can perform better but I see 26-13 final

Mac fair comments, both teams are not in the same league as Alabama, Boise State and maybe Florida and TCU this year only, but this may be an ugly game, I like Oklahoma, if you like the other side Good luck and let's see what takes place on Saturday.

agree on that for sure, they are not a world beater but they will raise their level on Saturday.

Would have loved taking Oklahoma if Texas didn't lay such an egg LAST week.

I agree with this logic... The only reason I haven't posted up is because I think the number may move up some more (although 64% / 36% backing percentages on sbrlines seems to indicate that sharp action is already keeping the number where it is at)... Also, who ever hit the -2.5 opening at Bookmaker got a hell of a good number IMO...

If you are going to bet the house on anything this week it should be wisconsin -2 over MSU. MSU is the most overrated top 25 team, they have beat no one but ND, and only won that game because of a missed delay of game call.

I am an OU alumni and love my Sooners. That being said, I don't think I will put money on this game. I think it's a coinflip.

Both teams have issues. It will probably come down to which team makes the fewest mistakes.

Oklahoma looks like a trap to me, cause texas is horrible. Line should be at least 7.

I wouldn't call Texas terrible but they are young. OU has been playing just as bad as Texas to be honest. People are giving them more props for beating a bad FSU team that didn't show up.

I think OU will win but no way in hell would I bet the house. Too many variables at play.

The only thing the Red River Rivalry will determine this year is who gets to bow down to the Huskers. As for Wisconsin over MSU, have you SEEN Wisconsin's defense!? Gargantuan red flag.

I dont know what to think of the Big 12 right now. Oklahoma keeps finding a way to win but has struggled in 3 non conference games. Texas gets thumped by the same team that lost to Kansas State and 35-0 to Stanford. (was Texas looking past UCLA to this game? probably) Oklahoma has played the tougher schedule and is still undefeated. Their "big game" so far was Florida State and they obiously were up for that one. Texas has decided to become a running team this year.... which has not worked well for them. However, Oklahoma gave up 4.9 yards a carry to Cin and 5.6 yards a carry to AF. Can Oklahoma stop the Texas running game? If Oklahoma gets up by 2 tds can they continue to dominate.... or will they let Texas have the back door cover like AF (14 4th Q pts) and Cin (17 4th Q pts)??

I think OU comes out ahead in this game. I would love to see Texas lose 3-4 more games! OU vs NU final Big 12 Championship game would be a perfect way to end this!

Can't take credit for the research, but thought it was good and wanted to share. My brother lives in OKC and says the local radio hosts, as well as fans, are really down on this OU team, even with the 4-0 start. The writer has "Sooner" in his i.d., so I would assume he follows them closely. Here's the write-up..........

Here's the bottom line with Oklahoma: the Sooners are being whipped up front.

Coaches and analysts have said for decades that the game of football is won in the trenches. That's not necessarily true. OU won all four of its nonconference games this season and only once has walked away playing better on the offensive and defensive lines.

                                                                      * OU is 89th in the nation in rushing offense, averaging just 120.8 yards per game. OU is 105th in yards per carry, just 2.96 yards per rush. That's well behind such programs as Ohio, Louisiana-Lafayette, Akron and Buffalo. In their last three games, the Sooners have run for 93, 113 and 82 yards.

                                                                      * OU is 93rd in the nation in rushing defense, allowing 177.5 yards per game. Florida International, Baylor, Temple and Idaho have been better. The Sooners have allowed yardage totals of 421, 458 and 461 in tight wins over Utah State, Air Force and Cincinnati, with much of those totals also coming via the pass.

"I know it might be hard to believe, but we still feel like we have a chance to be a great defense," said defensive coordinator Brent Venables. "Obviously we haven't displayed that but in one outing (against Florida State). It's disappointing."

Here are some stark numbers: Among the 25 teams who remain undefeated, OU ranks 23rd in rushing offense (only Arizona and Indiana are worse) and 24th in rushing defense (ahead of only Kansas State). OU's season total of 43 net yards (1,728 gained, 1,685 allowed) is far and away the
                                                                      lowest among unbeaten teams.

Going into this week's Big 12 opener with rival Texas, the Sooners need to work quickly to identify what's gone wrong, what needs the most attention, what works, what doesn't, and then streamline the game plan on both offense and defense.

Texas may be reeling after a 34-12 sucker-punch home loss to UCLA, but this would be no time for OU players to feel pleased with their house of cards.
