(Did you consider letting them score on their last drive to give your offense time on the clock to come back?)

No I did not. I did not consider letting them score at the end. I felt that if they missed the field goal, we’d win the game. It was talked about, but that was not the decision I went with.

Ok so let me break down this statement.

#1) "No I did not" (this means you are a fukking idiot to start and not open minded!)
#2) "I did not consider letting them score at the end" (Again just showing you are an idiot)
#3) " I felt that if they missed the field goal, we’d win the game." OK The dumbest statement ever made. IF THEY MISS (like a 4% chance) the game is still fukking tied and you will have the ball at the 20 with less than 10 seconds in the game. How dooes that mean you would win the game. if he said " I felt that if they missed the field goal, we’d go to overtime." That would have been an accurate but still STUPID statement.
#4) "It was talked about, but that was not the decision I went with" (This says his asst coaches told his ASS to let them score, but he decided against it because his a fukking idiot and is selfish.)

made no sense. Why they didn't let Forte score on first down i have no idea. I think your being generous on the 4% chance of missing. From that distance its more like 1 or 2 %

As a Packer fan I've seen this over and over from this COACHING STAFF

Mike is a very good coach in many areas, but his game decisions are brutal.

His penalty challenges are routinely HORRIBLE, another area where he is completely lost.

I agree, some of his crap he pulls during the game are UGLY.........BUT HE IS A VERY GOOD COACH OVERALL IN MY ESTIMATION, better than most in the league.

i agree fishy...i follow packers alot and mccarthy is actually a really good coach but his decision making can be brutal. gould is too good of a kicker to expect a miss there...just dumb.

Jrod you are right 1 or 2% is more accurate.

So lets break it down.

it was 1st and goal from the 9 with 1:42 to go and 1 time out. If you let him score with 1:35 then the kickoff to lets say the 25 with 1:25 left and 1 time out. The percentage to score from the 25 with 1:25 and 1 time out is about 30 to 35% I would guess.

So if the pct for a missed FG or fumble was 2% that means you are giving yourself about a about a 28-33% better chance to tie the game.


This coaches need a chart that shows something like below

before 2 min warning 1st down 3 time outs (15 seconds off the clock max)(1 time out left)
after 2 min warning 1st down 3 time outs (15 seconds off the clock max)

before 2 min warning 1st down 2 time outs (15-30 depending on 2 min warning) seconds off the clock max)
after 2 min warning 1st down 2 time outs (55 seconds off the clock max)

before 2 min warning 1st down 1 time outs (50-65 depending on 2 min warning) seconds off the clock max)
after 2 min warning 1st down 1 time outs (100 seconds off the clock max)

before 2 min warning 1st down 0 time outs (100-115 depending on 2 min warning) seconds off the clock max)
after 2 min warning 1st down 0 time outs (140 seconds off the clock max)

They need to do this with all four downs and make it a big ass chart so they can always know how much time they got.
