Need Some Help on Hedging

Never been good at this sort of thing, I'm sure many of you are. I have 550 bucks in one account and 45 pending to win 325 to complete a 4 team parlay if green bay wins tonight in another account. I would be happy with some profit. I guess I bet like 160 or so on Chicago in my "550" account to hedge? is this the best way? thanks for your input. gav

Do you bet parlays regularly? If so, how often are you still alive going into the 4th game? You need to win the full amount to help make up for all your previous and future 4 team parlay losses. What you are doing with such a hedge is saying , "I will risk money on a 4 team parlay and if I am lucky enough to get the first 3, I will settle for something like a 3 team parlay payout.
