I can't think of a team kicking a FG on 1st down with plenty of time on the clock. At least spot the ball in the middle of the field. Yet, since I had Atlanta ML, I love the move by Peyton and that kicker should run for mayor of Atlanta

Huge dirty bird fan over here and even I questioned that 1st down field goal try. I mean paid out for us huge but overall was a dumb play could of atleast moved it up 5 yards to the middle for a "chip shot". My guess is that 99% of that stadium thought it was over

The Falcons played them tough like they always do. Saints got a lucky fumble recovery when it hit off that dudes leg. Then they went down and scored a TD to take the league.

This was the right call by Payton. If the ball would have been fumbled that would have been another story. Its all about being a professional. Proffesionals should make 29 yard field goals. BOTTOM LINE! But this is the NFL it's a up and down league. It's all about finishing at the top and the Saints has the team to do it. Despite playing bad today they still had a chance to win this game. To be honest this Saints team has not been playing there to capabilities all year. But I personally think this loss will wake this team up.

Payton screwed up...1st down??? Especially with the kicks Hartley has missed this year, he should have run twice maybe even passed till 3rd down. I'm bias cause I needed a TD but, a Push woulda been acceptable...now its a Loss. arg!

yeah given the kid's struggles at home, IN THE DOME, they shoulda ran thomas another 2 times from the 10 yard line and then kicked it....but still it was a chip shot and there is no excuse not to make that...he will be gone by tuesday and a new kicker will be in....
