I have an ethernet wire running from the downstairs router, through the walls, going to my upstairs bedroom. My wife today, decides to unplug the wire in order to vacuum behind there. She then walks downstairs to put the vacuum back in the closet, and I walk in to tell her something, not knowing she went downstairs, walks in the room with the doobie hanging out of my mouth, and my doofy ass with size 13 work boots stepped on the end of the wire. The clip that holds it in your computer is now gone, and the rest of the plastic piece is cracked. So, can I fix this by splicing it and putting on a new coupling, or whatever? Or, am I going to have to pull the wire all the way out, and fight the wire again snaking it through?
