Apparently the "Big Blue" of the NFL is the NY Giants. I don't recall ever hearing them called that, though.

I thought the Giants were purple. They aren't really blue, are they?

I'm in Wisconsin and "Gang Green" was one of many nicknames for the Packers in the mid 80's. I was surprised to hear the Jets referred by the same name years later. I'm guessing some of these nicknames are local things.
