    General Handicapping Question
Hello All, I am new here and new to handicapping.

I've got what may be a dumb question but I am looking for some knowledge from people that know their stuff!

Someone I work with is exceptional at placing bets, and I am good with computers.

I proposed the idea to him that maybe we could start a website and provide picks for people, after all...people will pay good money for good picks.

My question to you all is. Is it illegal to have people pay a subscription or whatever the case is, and then with that subscription, they have the ability to receive our picks for the day or week or whatever the case may be?

I just don't want to get into anything that will get me into any trouble what-so-ever.

I look forward to your answers!

    Thanks, Matt

The general reply you will get from sports gamblers is: if your friend is so good at picking winners, why does he need people to pay for those winners? Much easier to just place all those winning bets himself. For the vast majority of touts, the 'math' just doesn't add up.

Tout: ''I AM playing those winners, and the bank is growing steadily. But i cannot just start to raise the bets, you know what can happen then, i need to stick with the gameplan so that ~60% at the end of the season will really mean i made some money.
Getting paid for providing winners to other people helps me raise my bank without changing my 1 unit game and, if im completely honest, will keep me afloat if i start to loose.''

              Matt,

Be aware that if you sell your picks to compulsive gamblers and one of the them is Tony Soprano's kid, if you go on a cold streak you might want to think it over son.

              Best of Luck,

Thanks for the comments so far, if anyone else has any opinions or things they'd like to share, I'd appreciate it, as I am new to this game. I'm simply the computer dork.
