can iowa cover -28 points???????

I always hate rollin with that many pts to cover, but I think Iowa will be up 20+ at that half. Their at home for one and their coming off a loss; I think they will come out a fighting.

Their kickoff coverage is horrible.

i would not put money on it. ken o'keefe doesnt really like to embarrass his opponents besides ISU, plus Hampton is out. their D should not give up a touchdown

I believe they will cover, large spread or not, Ball State is garbage. Iowa is coming off a fluke game which they should have won had that first half not gone the way it did in Arizona's favor. I believe they embarass Ball State tonight and win by 30+

chance for rain the entire game (looks like a lot is moving into the area the next hour or two)... iowa will be trying to find a backup rb to robinson... so they could run the ball a lot if they get up a couple scores.

Ball st will be playing there "superbowl" of the year against a high ranked school ... that being said they might just come out and play some inspired football

Iowa has Penn State next week so starters should be resting in fourth quarter if not sooner and how motivated are they this week. I also agree with the comment above that other than Iowa State they really don't run up the score. They beat E. Ill by 30 in game one, but look at their results for last year the only game they won by over 28 was Iowa State.

I think I owa wins this game but I don't know if they will cover this spread. Ball St is 4-1 ATS their last 5 against Big 10 opponents. Ball St is 8-2 ATS their last 10 games as an underdog of 8 points or more. Iowa is 3-7 ATS their last 10 games as a favorite of 8 points or more. I do not see Iowa blowing them out like some teams would and I do see Ball St giving an effort to keep it within 28. I would take the dog. Good Luck though

This is an awful spot for the Hawks laying 28. They are coming off an emotional game last week followed by the start of the Big Ten season next week. The definitional sandwich game. Ferentz doesn't like to run up the score and with Robinson being the only healthy RB, you will see other, unproven talent at the position in the 2H. You'll be laying 28 on true-freshman RB's. Good luck with that. If Ball State somehow gets 10, a cover will be very difficult.
