Man, this is the most "truth" I've heard about gambling and something rarely brought up (on SBR anyway). Nobody gets it...how do we get it? I think we WANT to get it is all I can figure. Most people you talk to about it ask so many questions and you know in your heart that they will NEVER get into it...complete waste of time.

Hide it from the fam that im gambling but other than that dont give a shit.
Mainly just my roommates and the GF. And they want to get in on the action sometimes

My patience level for this is probably 5 minutes and then I have to change the subject before I'm ready to scream. I wouldn't even want to know how much of my life I've wasted trying to explain why betting on a team because so-and-so is your favourite player probably isn't the best way to make money. Or why a -150 ML isn't a 'sure thing'. So frustrating.

I can't even talk sports with people who don't gamble. They can't understand why I play underdogs, no concept of the point spread, and think they know it all because they can pick a good team to win straight up against a bad team. I don't hide it from anyone but choose to only talk about it with others who are informed.

cool aid for my lemonede stand. Hope there is a lot of snow this
winter because it's hard to sell lemonade when it's 10 degrees below
zero. I can get $15 to shovel one walk way.

I drink, smoke, gamble, do drugs, & fuk women with questionable morals. This is no big deal but I live in the bible belt, fuk, I live in the goddamn buckle. My extended family look at me like Im the fukin devil himself!

All of my 1st cousins are married & got 2 kids with the picket fence & 40hr week jobs & house payments & car payments. While I'm usually shacked up with some ol' whore & havent worked a 40hr week job but mainly 3 years outta my life, no kids last time I checked they scream alot & shit themselves. I dont need that

It never ceases to amaze me how hard of time people who are university educated have understanding simple things like the spread or "chalk betting". Drives me nuts.
