IS SBR the sharpest sports betting forum?

I know there are PLENTY of squares here, but there are everywhere. I've never really ventured to other sports betting forums, but I was just wondering if SBR is a consensus pick for the sharpest posters or is there something else. I feel like we've got good guys here with Paco, LB, Fish, Wal, and a bunch of others. Just curious really.

yes, out of the 1,354 sports betting forums, SBR is definitely in the top 1,354 most sharp..

how can SBR be most sharp when 83% of the posters here are between 16-21.. it's all kids here with not much betting experience.


The sharpest gambling forum of all time was majorwager between 2000-2004. now that was a sharp place. 96% of the posters in that time were all pros making a decent living offshore. It was all bookmakers, former bookmakers, beards, runners, etc...and just a bunch of street smart guys. when you posted there, you felt smart cause you were with the big boys.

Nicky and Fishead are both sharps but very very rarely will they post plays or educate the posters. Basically they are scalping the right line hammer it and it loses the thread gets 2900 posts hammering them. They do the same and win the thread gets 24 posts. Tough crowd here.

Soon I will fly to Montreal or Tampa and take one of them out with their girls wine and dine them and basically make a Q and A session.

sbr is basically a chat room. it's a bunch of kids talking about their day, posting nude pics of girls, talking about getting laid, etc.. it's no diff than MSN.. it's just kids having fun......there's hardly any gambling talk here. 2 days ago, there were only 2 gambling threads on the whole main page.

at MW back then, you'd be lucky if you found 2 non gambling related topics on the 1st page.. it was all talking #'s, lines, bookies, what a half pt is worth on a side/total..etc....anything to do with gambling.. everyday we'd learn something new.. not at SBR.. it's the opposite. if a gambling topic shows up here, it's a guy giving out a lock..

We need to bring back gambling talk to this forum. it's the busy season now and we all should focus on making money, not which chick is hot.

that place is a ghost town. if i want to visit a ghost town, i'll just go to whoopi goldberg's bedroom.. also, i don't like to jump from forum to forum.. i am lazy to even go take a piss, now you want me to jump from each forum..


also, the avg age is the problem. when you're 20, it's tough to take gambling seriously. the only thing on your mind should be girls, not what is +ev..

at MW, 30% of the posters were over 50, some were over 60.. some were even over 70. they were guys who've been in the biz forever.. and former bookmakers.

and 10% were under 35.

but ya your right, it is hard to take it seriously as a 20 year old.

Typically i do all my gambling related shit during day so at night i can go out and enjoy myself(and hope i come home to winners). I guess the forum would possibly be better if 90% of it were sharps lol, but w/e...i still learned an incredible amount here. When i first started betting when i was 15...i looked lines sunday morning, i picked the team and hoped they won...that has changed to say the least thanks to SBR
