I currently have 21 CFB plays this Saturday, just wondering if that was high or low for SBR members. I actually started with around 35 plays and narrowed them down by injuries and deeper researching, so I don't play every game I like. I just don't see why people don't bet games where they think they have an edge

#2Is this many games your norm? I mean you are showing for 2008 48 total plays and you have 33 already this year.
I personally peek at the lines when them come out, circle a few and watch them throughout the week, on a good Saturday I play 4-5 games. I have nothing against volume, just over the years this is what works for me. I think if you took a survey of SBR more are closer to you than me.
Best of luck.Comment -

#3that sig is very old and I rarely post plays here anymore. I just like to read the insightful stuff during the week mostly. I think I played close to 20 last week and around 16 the week beforeComment -

#6I made 72 bets last Saturday
Only 32 of those were in College Football
Big Soccer day coming up this Saturday. might be able to hit triple digit bets. I'd post them all, but then you guys could reverse engineer them and there goes my Edge, which is fleeting at best.
and agreed, if you have an edge, bet it.Comment -

I never have a set number. Cap and look over lines. If there are 10 I like, then I bet 10. If 1, then 1.Comment -

#11Ive been playing too many and it shows, I guess its just the excitement of the season starting. Ive settled down now & will only play about 3-4, FAU-7 being my strongest, that line has already went to 10Comment -

#12Also, stay away from the high profile games like this one tonight, bama/arkansas, georgia/miss st, boise/orst, etc... play the games that have no bearing on the BCS or NC pictureComment -

#14I come in with at least 5 plays B4 the day begins, then make I make 2ndH plays. Could end up with 30 plays.
Never chase or double up. But if I feel I got lucky with a win, I usually roll over that ticket.Comment -

#22I've got 7 so far, but they're all RAS. Will hit his halftimes as well for about 10 total by the time the day's over.
I'm a bama homer, so I'll probably tease them down to PK with a little monopoly money. That's it. My unit size is way too high these days to be tossing around the kind of cash that would be required for 21 plays.Comment -

#25Early in the season I like to bet 10-12 a week but I average about 4-8 a week college. Another 3-5 for NFL. If I bet too many games later in the season I tend to break even, which isn't bad...if you don't count the juice lol.
I love the early weeks. 'Bama -12/Penn St. type games is where I make my money.Comment -

#27I usually have 3 to 5 key games that I will bet 80 - 90% of my bankroll each week. Then I bet a lot of games for small action (the remaining 10%) just for fun. Sometimes I'll add a crazy parlay or something as well.Comment -

#28Understood, some play by models and some play by instincts. I use my instincts to catch one or two big plays a week. Already got miami but I'm telling you VT-4 Alabama -7 and unc-2 are instinct plays that should destroy those spreads but they are kept low to get others to think vegs is playing a trick on them ( squares and sharps a like). That's what I look for.Originally posted by TPowellexactly how I feel, if my model tells me I have 20 bets for the week, then I examine injuries and gut feelings and go from there. #32think i have 16 this week(counting thur and fri) just depends on what stands out to me, play even more college hoops games and generally end up playing between 7-15 nfl sides and totals on a givin week. ive always found the more i try and limit myself the more i usually cost myself money. sure some weeks id have a higher percentage with less games but long run much better off playing every game i like.Comment -

#342 plays max on weekdays
6 plays max on NCAAF Saturdays
3 plays max on NFL Sundays
don't always stick to it but try my hardest to keep it under these numbers...i know its hard but the 30+ plays you state is just too many darn plays in a week let alone a single day, good luckComment
