A girl doesn't get a green card for 5 years. I once heard someone interviewed who did this. The interviewer said it doesn't happen often because "a woman would have to be awfully cold to sleep with someone for 5 years just to get a green card".

Jimmy....your wrong pal.....you dont get your green card in 6 months. I know because I'm Canadian, went through the marriage process (the legit way) and it took approximately 2 years to get a green card. I just went the process in the last few years, so nothing has changed in terms of timing. About 6 weeks after you go through the paperwork from the time of marriage, you are then presented a work VC, which legally allows you to work in the States. Once this card expires (2 years) you then must apply for a Green Card. You can not apply until the final 90 days of the 2 year Work VC.

So long story short.......green card comes in 2 years or more, not 6 months. Thanks
