Here's a random subject that was brought up today.

What keeps people from doing this?

Say someone makes a deposit from a credit card to a gambling website. Then they wager it all on 1 game. If you're lucky and win you cash out. But if you lose, you call the credit card company saying the transaction wasn't authorized. So you can get the money back.

I took middle ground on this. I can see how ppl would want to make fast money from this but at the same time it sounds illegal. I can see ppl going both ways on this. Depending on the type of person you are or what situation you're in.

I am sure books have a blacklist for people who have done this. Also It's probably another reason why books are getting away from cc dep.

        this is correct

if it's a legit dispute, do what you can to resolve it with the company first is my suggestion

Well besides the Karma slap, it's screws the rest of us that want/need that way to deposit money or at least makes it harder. it's that old saying only bet what you could afford to lose. If that is a person's intention they shouldn't be gambling.

I'm sure we've all lost at 1 time or another.

I know it was harder to make a deposit in the past. But this was a topic of conversation between friends that have betting in common. I figured I asked to see what other people reactions were.

The banks have software to tell where the money is going they will tell you that if you dispute it they will not refund the money, if you dispute it and they refund the money and find out later on it was gaming they can the local law enforcement on you or and or take the monies back. GL though I have seen this happen more and more in the last couple of years.
