Everyone always says how macs are totally compatible with software and that that is a poor criticism of macs. Here is first hand evidence that macs lag behind in software development.

This was typed on a macbook btw.

For now unfortunately Mac users need to run SBR Poker through Boot Camp or a Windows emulator software.

Thanks Lou, Ill try to look into this Boot Camp software. Do you know if SBR Poker on Macs is in the making or if it will be available in the near future?

I wouldn't ruin my Imac or Macbook by putting Boot Camp on them.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, its not really worth it. I just hope SBR can make this software compatible sooner rather then later.

"If Mohammed won't come to the mountain, the mountain must come to Mohammed".

Meaning if the software is not compatible with a Mac use a computer that is compatible with the software if you want to play poker now.

Im going back for these very reasons. Tons of shit aint compatible with this mac. I built a PC desktop and when this thing dies (it is pretty durable I must say) I am getting a windows based laptop.

Exactly my point. And next time someone says "lots of software is not compatible with mac" remember that this is an instance of that.

Unfortunately apart from the really big names in the industry, there is no support for macs

You might want to try Linux....I can't imagine SBR Poker won't work on Linux. You don't even need to install Linux on your computer...there are many versions that will run right off a CD.

I checked and indeed you can run SBR Poker under Wine 1.3 in Ubuntu 10.04, most probably it works under Wine 1.3 in OSX and any other Linux flavor as well, I don't have a Mac to test but it is working for me under Ubuntu:

If you guys know your way around Mac's terminal, here is a quick guide to get Wine installed in OSX:

A simple tutorial demonstrating how to install Wine on a macOS computer.

This is just a suggested set up and not an official statement that SBR Poker is compatible with MAC, there is currently no Mac version and this is not supported by SBR, try at own risk.
