#75i still book locals. i have a select few and you have to keep a short leashe on them or they will get in over their head and you will lose them as a player.(bye bye golden goose) bookie never loses in long run. its such an easy score but you have to be willling to have a couple big guys that will collect for you when someone does not pay and do not have clients out of a 30 mile radius as they can dissapear quick. i know idiots that have clients in other states and they get screwed all the time. Who really wants to drive 8-12 hours to collect a 600 dollar debt? so keep your players in your town and keep a close eye on their debt. good luck. also have a giant bankroll as everyone has their hot streak for awhileComment -

LB, to answer your question, I usually started someone out at a certain $ amount per bet, like $100 & they could work their way up to $500 per bet, depending on how well I knew them. If I started you at say $200 a play & the first week you were down $400 & had no problem paying, & was nice & courteous & acted right when I paid you I would up your limit, plus, you can always tell when someone is chasing & having a hard time. A bookie needs to be a mentor also. You want to keep business, business balances your book, there's gonna be winners & losers, if you're doing it right you dont give a fuk who wins or loses or what the fukin spread or score is on 70% of the games. You dont want to bankrupt everybody in your fukin town. Then you're outta businessComment -

#83IMO I see myself getting in trouble, sounds like CW to me...I like to pay and be done and not have to owe anyone, that's just me. I know this works for many and that's cool.Comment -

#86to me its not as much pressure, because you know a couple bad plays wont deplete your bankroll, so it loosens you up to play some games you think are winners but wouldnt play if you had to have the money in the acctComment -
