I didn't respond in that thread per SBR's request that all posts in the thread be sign up posts.
My comment was a bit of self-parody but at the same time, this is how anyone should be thinking if they are trying to make money at gambling. First question: is it +ev and what is my ev/edge?, second question: what is my optimal bet size. If you'd rather not think about expected value you should probably accept that you won't make money gambling and should stick to the ever-boring "OMG 5 game winning streak, it's a LOCK" threads.
P.S. Does anyone else notice that every donjuan post references +ev? It's grating at times.
