what are your thoughts on silver.i know theres millions of people who like and dislike this but is there any facts about it.it is at 20.00 a oz and seems to me growing up and up slowly.it isnt as fast as gold but than your not making as much with gold either with taxes and fees they charge.


does any one think silver will hit 30.00 a oz or so.

Silver is not as crowded of a trade as Gold is look for profi taking before starting an initial postion or buying the actual metal.Dealers like to try an charge 10% over the current spot price .

Why buy silver ETFs? Why not buy the real deal? I spent a good amount of my money when I was younger on silver and gold. Sold some before I bought my house, and still holding onto the rest.

if the world comes to an end, there is a revolution, etc etc what good will having slv in a brokerage account do?
rbc (royal bank of canada) won't even give you actual silver or gold for a certificate saying it is redeemable in product, so what good do you think an etf will be?

i also own ko,mcd,ge wen,f,ibm and other stocks not a lot of money but enough to make me happy.


no where near a house or no where near to retire or any of that source.

why do i buy etf insteadof the real thing.idk thats a good question i always want more silver bars but dont ever get them or have time to get them.

Mike wasn't saying if the world literally came to an end. If it doesn't make sense to you, then what I said about you in the other thread is true, you have no idea how to take care of money or know anything about it.

It's much better to have the actual thing, then to have a certificate....The certificate is a piece of paper, why not own the actual thing?

n gates your a good guy man i dont own a house or own anything valuable for that reason unless you count a rolex as value and a nice car.it doesnt say anything at all.i have debt more than anything.

i owe student loans.hopefully ill strioke gold one day.

the way the ecomomy is ,it seems like it will just get worse.you guys swear 14,000 is a lot of money but in reality it isnt.i know a lot dont have that kind of money and i brag and talk crap but in the end im no different than most of you guys.

most people that invest in gold and silver though think they are protecting themselves against economic meltdown, when a gun or food supply would be much more important

ETFs are whack, your best bet if you wanna get in on the silver or gold price rising buy the actual metal itself via coins or bars, of if you want a long term stock play buy GG or NM or NEM, but the real commodity play right now is copper, FCX is the best for both gold and copper right now FCX is gonna blow up again

i just think it is smart to invest what your able to.get all your debts lower and dont ever get credit cards maybe 1 for emergency.i have seem in my life and im young the dangers of credit cards.

the real question is how many americans can afford gold right now.

1,200 a oz or we it is is to crazy for a young person.it is impossible for me to work and affford 1 bar.gold is for the rich.imo

even if you save and get 1 gold bar imo it doesnt do anything becuase it is just 1 you need a min of 100 oz imo for anything.

the problem with silver is i dont see what the purpose of it use except for jewelry and science.

gold is the way they balance it with the dollar if say we go to war with china not saying it will happen just saying if it did gold would go to 10k a oz


copper is a solid investment but it is becoming expensive as well.

i would suggest buying water and having enough water for you and your family for atleast 6 months if you feel we will go into world war or some kind of crisis
