    Best gambling/handicapping books (literature)
I'm looking for a couple suggestions--or reviews of any kind, even if they are negative--about literature or books related to sports betting... ideally something I could find at Amazon or at least order from an older used book store. I know a lot of these tend to be pretty hit or miss, and it's especially tough because the one or two reviews you'll find from the big websites are usually by guys just learning the basics for the first time. I'm definitely an experienced gambler, been doing this for years now, so I don't need a "how-to" or a "insider bookies vocabulary" type thing... just something that could potentially offer some more good advice or an extra edge. Any help is appreciated.

My favorite book about gambling is "Fortunes Formula" by William Poundstone. It won't teach you how to pick winners, but it shows just how important money management is in gambling and all forms of finance in life. I really enjoyed it and even though it doesn't talk much about handicapping strategies, I still feel like I learned a lot from it.

              Bump

I had the same question. I love Sklansky's poker books. Now I'm looking for some good sportsbetting books.

I know about Sharp Sports Betting by Wong. I can't find the book by J7. Any other recs?

I have discussed Justins book with people ( i have not read it) and I am familiar with all the principles and have for awhile but the difference is he is probably more disciplined then me and probably a better gambler for that reason. Even if you know the principles, it takes lots of training to apply them on an everyday basis and you can slip up a few times and then you are off track
