NFL Didn't Get Pats-Pack Dream Game - But Not Bad Anyway
Sure, they would have preferred the Pats and Brady vs the Pack and Favre - a match-up made in Flack heaven.

But they got half of the Dream Match-up, and not too bad with the other half.

Giants are in what must the NFL's biggest market, the NY metro area. With die-hard, crazy fans.

I mean, sit in a sports bar there when the Giants are playing - those people are weird. It's a friggin' religion. Or at least it appears so to one, tho originally from the area, spends most of the year - & most of his life - on the West Coast.

And, I can't recall ever meeting a Jets fan there. They must be there, but in Jersey, Brooklyn and Manhattan they're well-hidden. Maybe living out in Queens or Long Island.

Giants also have a big international audience, nice for the globally-minded NFL. Most people abroad mainly know one US city - the Apple.

The great majority of the Brit fans at the regular season Miami/NYG game this past year in London seemed to be for the Giants.

In Mexico, another big market for NFL, the Giants are one fo the favorites, after Los Vaqueros de Dallas and Los Cargadores de San Diego.

So they didn't lose all that much by not tossing a total anti-Giant bad calls monkey wrench into the GB-NYG game.
