why is that a bad beat? its not like they were down 8 and kicked a FG.. 9 you need 2 scores... too many teams waste way too much time going for the TD and dont leave themselves any time incase they get the onside kick

Come on man are you really going to argue it's not a bad beat? You must of been on N. Illinois. By the time they get the ball back even if they get the onside kick they have 20 seconds no timeouts.

Almost NEVER get beat that way, teams need 2 scores and if they can't get the TD, 95% of the time they just lose by 9.

You are correct Brock i'm not saying it was stupid to kick the FG. I'm just saying it never happens especially with only 30 seconds left in the gm.

I had ******* under 46.5. ******* b.s. Clearly they were going to run it and ******* defense allows 29 yard td run? bs! The touchdown by penn state when they were up 17 at midfield and throw a 35 yard pass and 15 yard run to endzone after the catch. They didn't need a ******* t.d., they had no reason to pass....**** penn state! And **** Kent State even more.....1 ******* field goal and I win...but no, 3 straight turnovers around midfield and not one score.

That's not a bad beat at all. If you kick the FG and then recover an onside kick, you've got two or three plays to try to work a miracle. And we've all seen more bizarre finishes than this would have been. Sorry you lost your wager, but I can't argue with NIU's strategy.
