Look, I loved The Departed but that was just a good movie. This is a movie you will watch once a year till you die. I'm so jealous of all you people that your first viewing still to come.

Ive watched the departed probably 10-15 times since it came out. I love that movie. If this is that much better than that.....well, we'll see.

On the strength of this thread and the 93% RT rating, I caught the 12:05 a.m. showing. It was definitely good and I enjoyed it, but I'm surprised by the 93% fresh rating. Then again, I was surprised by Up in the Air's 90% fresh rating.

Saw it yesterday and agreed it was great. Nice to see some of the streets near my job in the North End - I can recall hearing the gunshots during the police chases they were filming.

I just watched the 3:00 minute trailer. I love Chris Cooper & that Hamm dude from Mad Men, it should be pretty good in spite of Affleck starring & directing

seriously, he did a good job directing 'gone baby gone' He catches alot of shit but I like Affleck pretty good

ok guys, just got back from the theater. It was good, the plot was good, character development was great, cinematography was so so, I liked it but it is not even in the same class as The Departed. But then again, Affleck is not fukin Scorcese, but a good movie overall

Very good movie, saw it today as well. Lots of thick Boston Accents, cool on location scenery. No need for the bank manager chick as a love interest though.

The old dude, Peter Postlethwaite was one of the nastiest dudes in a long time.

I thought it was a good movie but nowhere near one of the best, not even close. The Bank Job puts this movie to shame in my opinion. I did like the yayo part of it though. They talked about Oxy's a lot they needed to show the nice green OC80s.
