Why did San Diego NOT score from the 6 yard line? Sob Story Of The Year?
I hardy ever watch a game I have money on! Yet, somehow I knew SD was on the 6 yd. line, and I was thinking "finally" I have broken this horrible drought I was in on this football season.

Oh, now I remember! I saw the score on "players talk."
So I keep checking the posting on the forum, and low and behold, some as*hole posts a thread or message stating SD scores or something like that!

I need that score badly. I had over on the game,,, had a shot there if SD scores.
I had SD-3, had a good shot there.
I had over the second half, had a shot there.

Sunday I needed under the second half on the Lions,[ 17 1/2]. What a dud game. The score was 3/3 at the half [I believe], on field goals. Four more field goals and it goes into OT at 9/9. NOW, I need that field goal to win!
What happens, a quick TD! [Unbelievable] I lose by a 1/2 point!

*** I want to nominate this tale as "the sob story of the year," any backers?

it was a pathetic set of 3 straight play calls. 1st play very well should have been a TD, but the guy slipped and fell

Hey, yes, I'm old enough to die!

I get reminded of that every time I go to a cemetery. Because I keep seeing gravestones marked with dates 3, 5, 10, 15 years born after me!
And I ask myself...."what the hell happened to these people?"

I'm not sure why they went for four straight passing plays. There was plenty of time. The field was wet and slippery and they didn't compensate for that at all. The receiver just slipped on the fourth down.

Typical Chargers start to the season. But they could have used Vincent Jackson in this one.

They ran on second down and Sproles got hit in the backfield. Their O line sucks bad on run blocking. I wish they would do more pitch plays because they haven't been able to run up the middle for a couple years now but Norv keeps trying anyway. The Chiefs had some big plays that helped them be able to play conservative and with as hard as it was raining that put the Chargers at a huge disadvantage. I don't think the Chiefs would have had a prayer if the weather was clear.
