    Reggie Bush should keep heisman
    fukk everybody in the media

fukk everybody in these crooked ass "non-profit" universities making MILLIONS on these athletes. what are their graduation rates? how much special treatment to they give athletes in passing grades that aren't earned? how many get injured, drop out and have zero skills to succeed in life cause they were just cash cows for shady universities?

these motherfukkers can make millions and millions off dollars of these guys and the players aren't allowed to have shit? I thought slavery was over, but apparently it isn't.

and I don't even like Bush, thought he would be a bust in the NFL cause he main attribute is speed, and in the NFL just about every player was the fastest guy on his college team.

So I don't like the guy but this whole thing is bullshit

Actually-----only 9 universities turned a profit last year among the BCS conferences.

If you open this door of paying players, then what? Chicks will sue to get paid under Title IX---and how much do you pay a woman's volleyball player? They will demand the same as the football and basketball teams---and they will win in a court of law under Title IX.

Bush broke the rules---his actions are going to cost USC millions of dollars in lost revenue/penalties. Bush was on tv every week thanks to USC---and he got his million dollar payday. How would you like him to be punished? Or should he just be allowed to take cash and that's that?

USC by the way, didn't sell out their home opener. Just wait until those scholarship reductions kick in and they are back to the Ted Tolnar days.

would love to see the source on the universities that turned a profit last year. additionally I would love to see the salaries of the faculty and the president of every university making millions on these kids.

moreover, I would love to see how many non revenue generating sports like women's volleyball, golf etc universities would drop if the cash cow of college football went away.

Well the Patriots kept the Superbowl trophy after cheating to beat the Rams so I see nothing wrong with Bush keeping the Heisman trophy.

I want to know why Vince Young is so giddy at the prospect of getting it. Who wants to win that by default?

If he would have come out and not lied about the whole situation for years then he probably wouldn't have to give it up. That is what happens when you are caught cheating and lie about it. Classic example Barry Bonds. If that dipshit would have just owned up to his obvious cheating then he would have already been forgiven by most instead he is a joke and was driven from the game and will never be in the hall of fame. Its just funny how many of these athletes think that just because they make so much money that they can get away with anything and end up embarrassing the shit out of themselves.

                  He had no choice
USC probably could of sued him if he was defiant.

Million Dollar bowl payouts mean nothing.

A school/university will spend 750K to get their kids out to the game. A school is lucky to break even with a mid-tier bowl game. The 20 million dollar BCS payout are shared among conference members----so if Ohio State gets 20 million for the Fiesta Bowl---Indiana is getting an equal share of that money. I am lazy, but if you google the costs associated with these schools you will see how badly they are hemmorhaging money on non-revenue sports.

                    Here is one small example.

Attending the GMAC Bowl last year actually cost Central Michigan money---they didn't profit a single dime from attending the bowl game---

Schools can not drop non-revenue producing programs because of Title IX.

They can't balance their books by dropping field hockey---they are forced to drop men's programs to allow women to generate the same numbers as men participants.

No federal court in this land will allow any modifications of title IX-----and the Supreme Court has decided this issue.

After the insider at the MLB leaked the documents to deadspin about how teams fudge their numbers using shady accounting, I'm a bit of a skeptic that only 9 schools made money.
