What about the Jets game Sethlin. what do we take away from that?? Titans are the true sleeper in the AFC!!! I see them and Baltimore playing for the rights to go to Superbowl!!

I lost last night but it was no fluke.
Much like Dallas Sunday night San Diego has issues on offense. Basically have inexperience at running back, only real go to guy is a tight end and the play calling is questionable at best. They were so very dis-organized in getting their plays in or getting the snaps in time. River's showed little leadership and spent most of his time screaming at players instead of taking control and acting like a vetran of his caliber.
Don't discredit what KC did either. True on offense they don't appear to pose a serious threat but the defense is vastly improved and capable of mounting a pretty decent rush. On special teams they have two serious threats in Arenas and McCluster,
What happened last night was not a fluke. Kansas City came to play, their fans came out to support and make some serious noise and the organization looks to be headed in the right direction.
It's the AFC West so anything is possible and it's the NFL so you never really know from one week to the next but last night was no fluke.

Lots of young guns on that team. Charles, mccluster, Dorsey, smith, etc. Defense looked tremendously better, cassel is suspect though. They will def have a better year for sure.

Chargers will be favored by 9 when they play in SD and every jackass here will be on the Chiefs...
All the Rain, Noise , Fumbles, and Punt Returns won't travel to San Diego...

Cassell 10-22 68 yards. KC will be much better on defens this year tho. Dorsey, Jackson, Berry, Arenas will be on D there for the next 5-10 years. Cassell will only improve. Now he just needs more weapons if they get that I see the Chiefs being a solid team down the line. Last night game was no fluke tho. The rain played a big part in that game. Also KC always had great field position due to the returners which cost SD field position and time off the clock. SD defense shut down the KC offense but in the end, too many mistakes by the Chargers.

Rivers looked like whore shit on the last drive.
Cassel looked solid in NE because his receiving core were all pro bowl caliber. Cassel has no one to throw to in KC big difference.

I lost last night on the chargers, had them on 3 parlays to win 900, and decided not to hedge.
I checked the weather and it looked like it was rain for the first half, then was going to settle down. That didn't happen. IF I knew it was going to rain the whole game, I most likely would of hedged, because I felt Kansas City had the better running game. IF there was no rain, I don't see how the Chiefs could of stayed within 2 TD's.
Chiefs couldn't amount any offense the whole game. Just had that 1 long run, and the punt return. San Diego's special teams units were killing them last night.

KC has better coaching. Wasn't the time of possession something like 40 minutes SD / 20 minutes KC? The will slow the game down by running the ball and then play good defense. Last night's game was not a fluke.

I just think KC will have scoring issues so will never have a good record.
Hey maybe I will be wrong but Cassell just was a bust after a great year with Pats

Not a fluke. San Diego is poor in September.
Same matchup in December and the outcome will be much different.

Crennel and good young talent have the KC defense much better than years past though they will struggle offensively. However there is nothing flukey about fading the Chargers and their inflated lines every September.

Looked to me that the rain played a huge role in the game. Chargers moved the ball (through the air) early in the game before the rain came and in the 4Q after the heavy stuff blew past. It was pouring in the middle of that game and the Chargers air attack was non-existent. As another poster said, that was to the Chiefs advantage with the better running game.
Fluke? Tough to say. But I did notice Floyd slipped on the loose turf on 4th down and he would have been wide open for the tying TD. That gives us OT. What happens then, who knows?

If the rain wasn't present, SD would have won by 10 points easy. That fukked their entire game up. Team can't play in the elements. Keep that in Mind for later in the year if they head into the cold...

On there 1st and goal play, when Rivers threw it to the front corner of the endzone, a guy slipped when he would of also caught the winning TD, instead it went over his head, and threw the hands of a KC cornerback.
But if they woulda caught that TD, there would of been 35 seconds left, and Lord knows KC woulda taken back the kickoff, or Charles would of busted a 70 yard td run.
