Wow it was eye opening. I had no idea compulsive gambling could get so bad. I wonder what percentage of people on this board have a gambling problem.
Has anyone read Busted by Art Schlichter?

#10I couldn't even describe the magnitude of this guy's degeneracy. It was fascinating to hear about the depths that one can plummet to in this game.Comment -

I've been around hundreds, and he is one of the, if not THE, biggest degenerates I've ever associated myself with.Comment -

#20It would make a great movie, who would play him?I remember seeing the CBC in Canada doing a news segment on him when he got his last chance to play in the CFL years ago.He had this beautiful and really nice wife and great little kids and that couldn't even keep him from gambling. He seemed like a nice guy all the time.Even when he was in college and high school he never came across as a golden boy jock.I am going to get the book but wasn't it some $2 bet on a harness race at a fair in Ohio as a teen that opened the floodgates for him?In the 70's he probaby won $50 and that was alot of money for a country kid.I always figure that it's best that a teenager that bets loses a couple hundred dollars on his first few bets instead of winning big.Winning big just primes the pump.Comment -
