I have to go with Favre, sure hall of fame, all the stats, but I mean he will keep you in the game, but at the end if it's close it's as good as a coin toss, and as of late he has been losing that coin toss.

.280 lifetime and all the stolen bases? Besides, he's about 3rd or 4th among Phillies in media attention at best.

I really can't think of an example that rivals Romo. Maybe Matt Ryan on a smaller level. They keep stretching the meaning of the word "elite" until it breaks.
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

Exactly. How many times do they have to try a WR screen that doesn't work when they could just run it down their throat. The play calling is terrible, no need for gimmicks like a fake run/pump fake, screen when you could just run the ball for 5 yards. Garrett needs to be canned, he had all that hype a couple years ago but he's an idiot. I don't know if he over thinks things or just tries to be fancy, but he needs to smarten up and adjust to how the game is going, not be stubborn.

romo is tremendously over-hyped, for sure. he looked so timid for most of that game last night, afraid to stand in and take a hit...

romo is good...for some reason he seems to make simple mistakes time and time again.

Agree with lebron...people keep saying he is the next jordon but he hasnt achieved anything.

To answer OP's question: Every QB the Bears had since 1985 was given a star status and hasn't done anything.

Carson Palmer .... look at he receivers he has had ... what has he done ?
Phillip Rivers .... one of the "Elite" has one of the most stacked teams in the NFL .. only 3 playoffs wins
Peyton Manning .... Great QB ... one Superbowl win ... took him as long as it took Romo to get his first playoff win .... yet still considered by some as the greatest of all time ... lots of late costly interceptions as well..

B.T.W. ... Romo was an undrafted free agent.
