As the season progresses you will see the real Kolb. Everyone has an off day now and then and it is the first game of the regular season and his first game as the official starting QB for the Eagles. Possible jitters today from Kolb. Let's see how he adjusts in the 2nd half.

Kolb tends to force a pass when there is no decent outs. Vick has the option of running if he needs too. I still would go with Kolb as the starter as he in my opinion is better overall.

Pretty much. It gives him a full year of experience. If they didn't, then will will have wasted another season next year if he doesn't work out in the end. How many years is Kolb into his contract? They want to know know if this guy has it and give him a fair shot. No use giving him one full year to make a decision to resign him.

You are as crazy as Andy Reid. People forgot Vick was and is a pro bowl caliber QB.

I did see 5 new lineman come into the came when Vick came in. All of them had to be second stringers.

First off, the Eagles don't need to be pulled "out of the cellar" they need to avoid falling into it. They've had a pretty damn good run the last decade.

And to answer your question, Nate Allen looks like a good safety. Even if he's not Ed Reed or Darren Sharper he's a playmaker rather than a liability. Since McNabb hasn't signed a contract extension with Washington yet, it looks like the Redskins passed on getting a potentially long and successful career from a guy like Nate Allen for one year of McNabb. Speaking of teams needing to be pulled out of the cellar, it looks like Donnie isn't exactly doing that for Washington yet.

When Favre retires and McNabb and Chilly have a nice little reunion to try and get Donnie that ring, Dan Snyder, Mike Shanahan and the Skins' organization are going to look like total chumps for giving up two picks for no long term gain for their football team except some #5 jersey sales. Andy Reid may take some heat on weeks the Eagles lose, but man can that cat GM.
