Yeah, we get games here if you buy cable tv. But even then the games are on at random times (for those of us living here) so it's all a bit hectic. It's the same as the NBA though - once the season's a week or two in then you can get a better feel for what's going on once you actually a see a team in regular season action. Between the games you do see and the info that comes out online you can get a pretty decent idea of what's going on but still it's nothing like being at home.

Exactly why I now believe that anyone making a big play in week one of the NFL or NCAAF is a nutter. Just from living here I've become acutely aware how pre-season performance and the info that you can gleam online can be extremely misleading. And from living here is also when I learned that the majority of touts base their first week picks on historical data which definitely has it's place but is no replacement for the team that is taking the field on the day.
