Seriously Thinking Of Doing Poker 75% And Sports Investing 25%...
As Chris Rock would say......" that's right "...

A couple reasons for this decision.....

1)...The easiest funds transfer for US players since Neteller....I just
re-opened my PokerStars acct and did a e check transfer and began
playing in 5 minutes......how cool is that ???

    2) Success......when I was laid off at Conseco Finance in 2005...we
were in the middle of the Greg Raymer online poker boom....and I bought
into it 100%.....thought with no job...I just play online poker all day...I
read as many books on online poker from all the key guys at the time and
bought poker teaching software, watched all the TV poker shows and bought a very good online odds calculator..

...and I had success......at the lower levels of LIMIT hold'em...1$/2$...
I made a good profit .....I got in trouble when I went No Limit....guys
were just better than me...at the time....

Oh, you get your Bad Beats....just like sports....
whats the difference .....losing a game by a half-point or
losing a hand on the river...?

    No difference...really....

I then, concentrated at Sit & Go and was overall successful.....

But then with the advent of UIEGA coming on...I lost interest and
just stuck with sports...which I felt I was better at....

But now....without Neteller and UIEGA still making it hard to fund
at online sportsbooks.........and as I just discovered ....the FANTASTIC
ease to deposit and withdraw thru PokerStars by e check....its
    a no brainer......

Sure playing Poker for so many hours online can be boring ( I only
    play 1 game at a time)...but if I play my game consistently....I
    will make a profit.....

Time to bring the Phil Hellmuth and Eastman how to books out and brush up...

    I am getting excited....

...oh btw......you really hear more about Professional Poker Players...than
you do about Professional Sports Betting Players......wonder why?

Oh...I will continue to do the sports....but will wait till I get to Vegas to really
    pull the trigger.....

Would love to hear your comments.....

Not many fish left, everyone is using pt3/huds/colluding/cheating/etc.

You can still make a profit but good luck.

Just my opinion,,,,,but I think PokerStars is safe to play....

I started with Ultimate Bet.....but this was way before...the
scandal they had with some internal guy spying on other people's
hands......thru the software he had available....

Dude seriously...it's a radially more difficult game than it was in 2005...especially at the lower limits.

If you're into working on your game and are young enough to at least six-table eight hours a day I'm not saying you can't do it, but I am saying having previous success means nothing now.

On the other hand it does look like they're going to get around to legalizing online poker one of these years, and if you're a working solid grinder when that happens there should be a couple of golden years.

but I am getting back in the groove.....

Good results in the past week....

ya see.....I have a positive attitude......

and I have the time and funds to make it work....

I dont need a lot of money to meet living expenses....

and I will try out the rooms here at Canterbury Park for a change....
but I know that will be so slow as compared to online...

If you're going to take the plunge to Vegas, make sure you do all of your homework ahead of time. Simple things like calculating hourly win rate, ROI, bankroll requirements, risk of ruin and your range of outcomes must be done before you can even consider this. Maybe you've done all of this already, but it's amazing how many people disregard some of the basics when contemplating something like this.

Even $3 SNG's are full of regs playing 20-50 tables at once.

                          There few "new" players.

Omaha is the new thing, where all the fish at.

online poker was a goldmine 5-10 years ago
nowoadays 75 % of the people use poker tracking software and have good knowledge of the game
its still possible to make a profit but its not worth my time anymore to grind out thousands of hands for little money.

I have all these tables going at once.

                              QQ < Ax
                              Ak < A5
                              KK < Ax
                              AA < 55

                              all at once

                              repeat every 5 minutes
