I know multiple people who have got them while still in HS. I've never had one, did get a MIP though.

but i would say never DRIVE a car with one drink in you
always cheaper and easier to have a taxi/limo/etc drive you home
$100 limo is cheaper than $3000 in fines/license supension/etc etc etc

I've been pulled over drunk 3 times and never got a DUI. I've been lucky I guess, that was in my younger days. I dont drink and drive anymore, not worth it.

I personally don't drink and drive anymore but, like many others, used to do this occasionally when I was younger... Many years ago I got pulled over stoned one time after running a red light in an area I wasn't familiar with (I was looking for a bring your own beer strip joint around Dallas) and the cop was pretty suspicious that I was on something... (The fucker I was with is a talker when he is stoned and wouldn't keep his mouth shut and let the cop do his job)...

But some how

my military id came out out of my pocket (I had just gotten out at the time) and I was on my way again in within a couple minutes or so... I've since been told that weed is one of the few drugs that cops don't have a good way to field test for...

Regardless, for me anyhow, bus and taxi fares are too cheap "to gamble" on doing this anymore giving the risks (including those outside the financial cost)...

I learned my lesson from this but kind of a cool story...

I am from a small town where pretty much everyone knows everyone else... I got pulled over one night by a police officer driving home (I honestly thought I had sobered up enough) and was given a breathilizer... I know they are not supposed to tell you what you blew... but it ended up being a cop that I had gone to school with and was the brother of one of my friends... he told me that I blew a .07 which in NY is not a DUI as a .08 is the limit... anyways got real lucky being JUUUUUSSSTTTT under the legal limit and he told me to be careful on my way home and followed me back the rest of the way...

Learned my lesson... NEVER AGAIN!

got one 3 years ago, blacked out at a bar, woke up in an ambulance after crashing into a tree. didnt have a seatbelt on and the airbag knocked the crap out of me so bad, both eyes swollen shut for a few days, but luckily nobody else was hurt and i walked out of the hospital 2 days after. they took a blood test at the hospital and that was 0.28. my lawyer got me out of all the fines and things but i had to spend 48 hours in the county detention center which is actually an old prison, you get your own cell and only get out 1 hour a day.. i know 2 days isnt much but it was a real eye opener for me, never had a drink since

more than half the kids in my graduating class in highschool got them and i know many with multiple, one with 5 and is in state prison for the next 2.5 years

when I was young and dumb.....I was clocked on radar doing 97 in a 55....And I was drinking.

I hired an Atto and got off with a reckless driving charge.....I got points and a 2 week suspension......Not smart.
