the call was correct, however the timing was suspect. usually players decide the games in those situations, but again it was a charge.

I saw many clear fouls like that in many NBA games through the years that were never called. Denver also benefited from one similar a couple years ago against the Suns in TNT. Grant Hill was driving and was clearly tripped, and there was no call. Right play their, whistles just don't belong in the NBA in the final 10 seconds. They should teach that sh1t.

it was a bang bang call, wasn't an obvious charge. Manu slide over right as Melo was in the air, you don't call a charge at the end of the game like that. Any other star in the game would never get that called against them.

And Ginobili was fouled by Affalo on that shot. Hit him right on the right arm. I was on the Nugs and agree the whistle should be swallowed except if a blantant foul happens.

People are just mad they lost. If it was the other way around and Manu was driving and Melo stepped up and took a charge they would be praising the refs. All I ask if for the refs to call it both ways.

And I understand that, but why should the defense have to suffer and give the offense leverage just because its the end of the game, so never in your opinion a charge should be called? Get out. Manu was on a forklift.

No your just the kind of person who wants a whistle blown evertime there is contact... its a physical game.. the way you want the game to be called they could blow the whistle on almost every time down the court!!! im a wizards fan an watched lebron drive the game against us in the playoffs 2x with seconds to go they could of called charges both times but its a physical sport you have to let it go!!!

Sounds like most of the cry babies had the Nuggets tonight. I had neither team, but it was a great call. I actually commend the referee for making that call. As an official, time, score or any other factor should sway the way u call the game. It should be called the same possession by possession no matter the circumstance.

Nah man I love physicality and hate the way they call games with ticky tack fouls these days, Ive been watching NBA since a kid and love the physicalness, but that was a clear charge, again, Melo lifted Manu off the ground, Manu's feet were set, he was outside of the box, got to his spot before Melo got there, it doesnt get anymore textbook than that. So if that happened in the first quarter I guess youre ok with it.
