    Question about +ev plays
I understand how this works in mlb but can someone help me with other sports like football and basketball since is the same priciple. How do you find +ev plays when the spread is usually always -110. Is there no such thing or do i have to get a number like -6 -110 when it closes at -7 -110. Help is apreaciated. Thanks

You hit the nail on the head. Always try to beat the closing line, if you do your bet has more value than what the book wants. Also in the nfl look for opportunities to tease the spread past cruicial values of 3 and 7. Don't go crazy teasing everything, but if you can clear 3 and 7 your bet has a lot higher chance of hitting and is +ev

Odds are not always -110. Check out Matchbook. Plus, there have to be some reduced juice books left out there?

you just have to be smarter than the oddsmakers and other bettors. The lines are not accurate, you think Navy would be -7 against Maryland if they played again?

Most books offer a money line in football and basketball in addition to the spread -110. So if the Lakers are -7, generally you can take it -7 -110 or ML -280. But some books, like Legends for instance, won't offer a ML option if it is generally over -400. So if Ohio State is fav by -21 for instance, you might have to look around to find a book that'll offer a ML. 5Dimes is best if you want a book with extensive lines/options. So if you want +ev plays or better you'll have to take a +1 underdog or more on ML

In sports with spreads, your just looking to beat the closing spread. if you get it at -5 and it closes -7 then great job. if you take a line +5 and it closes +7 then u f'd up.

football lines are sharpest but you can still a few closing lines if your sharp enough and get in early.
