Check out a ballgame, preferably the Yankees at their new stadium, catch a play (on- or off-Broadway), sample the great NY pizza at various joints, take in the Museum of Natural History and relax with some music one night at Joe's Pub.

If you like museums, don't miss Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

Mets are in town, and playing the Pirates in the early part of next week. Will be easy to get tickets to see one of those games.

Not sure where you're staying, hopefully downtown. Plenty of good Irish pubs in the city, try Connoly's on 45th St between 6th and 7th Ave's, 2-3 blocks NE of Times Square.

First of all watch your wallet. NY is the most over overrated city in the world, there is really nothing to see there, don't expect nothing like Paris, Rome or London, NY is just a huge, dirty, expensive, rude and stinky city, like 90% of American cities...but being brainwashed by Hollywood and other Pentagon propaganda machines you might force yourself into liking it, after all it will be embarassing returning home and admit that you cross the ocean and went thru the airport fingers/body scanners and butt control just to see a huge pice of s%it city.

Couldn't disagree more, maersk. If you ask me, the only people brainwashed about New York City in general and Manhattan specifically are those who haven't visited the place in the past 20 years or so.
