Legends: Weekly Betting Roundup for August 30 – September 5
Weekly Betting Roundup for August 30 – September 5
    B. Sharps / Head Linesman / Legends

Well hello players! A busy first week has ended; I’ll jump right into Thursday’s action with an odd mix of needs. Ohio State covering 28 was good for the house; Marshall received a lot of attention at the windows and, conversely, so did Hawaii as the players took the dogs in both games to wash out. South Carolina -13 ½ was a mixed good action turning into a small win for the house. Utah falling 3 did no favors to any books as it landed on the number for basically a push around first day.

Friday Arizona winning and staying under made for a good night for the house as Toledo money poured in late and the Arizona bettors tended to tie them up with the over to make it a sweep for the books.

Saturday the movers had a field day (especially Mr. Walters), on the higher spread games winning with Nebraska -37 (fell 39 to do more damage), Oregon -34, Georgia -28, Alabama-38, and Arkansas State +31 ½. The movers also won on Syracuse -7 ½, Vanderbilt + 3 ½, North Carolina +9 (another nice middle for the players who had LSU early), and Fresno State - 2. They lost with Washington +2 and Florida -36 but had a big day. The house picked up wins on Rice +31, Utah State +34, and the big one of the day – Vanderbilt + 3 – a must win game against the public even though the movers had the other side. The players had wins on Michigan -3, Fresno State -3, and Kentucky -3 to battle back. All in all, the house did ok; volume can save you a lot of decisions and middles and Saturday was a good example of that.

Sunday the players and the movers were on East Carolina +7 to make that a big win against the house but the house won the total as the movers and public liked under to go with the dog to save the house a thrashing. In the second game SMU +13 was a small win for the house but once again won the total a little to make some money on the game. Sunday was pretty close to a push around day; I usually don’t go over the totals but when there are only a couple of isolated games on a given day, they can be as important as the sides and East Carolina was a good example.

Good luck players! Talk to you next week with college and NFL recaps.
